PROJECT HIPKISS 2013 – BECOME A SPONSOR & JOIN OUR ROLL OF HONOUR!
(Version française ci-dessous)
We need your help! Yes, the financial meltdown has finally reached our door. After 16 years working full-time as artists, this unprecedented situation has seen the museum budgets cut to zero and most collectors reluctant to acquire the work that defines Hipkiss, i.e. the larger pieces. Meanwhile, we've had some of our finest accolades - including the recent London show being chosen as 'Exhibition of the Week' by the director of the Contemporary Art Society - see 'Press' - and the interest shown by such pioneering contemporary gallerists as Bruce Haines (Ancient & Modern) and Jack Hanley (NYC). We're very excited for the future, and for our existing collectors, because the work is finally gaining recognition in the wider world.
So rather than keeling over in despair, we've decided to turn this dire situation into an opportunity to create something different, and are seeking the support of anyone who would like to sponsor the continued development of the Hipkiss œuvre in the form of ever-larger, more monumental shows. As a happy by-product, you will be contributing to a monumental work in its own right. We're seeking commissions for small drawings (20x13cms, 7.9"x5.1"), images of which – when we have enough – will appear as one large project on the website, along with the names (and, where appropriate, the links) of our patrons. As usual with commissions, your input is welcome, so it's a rare opportunity to own a personal 'vignette' of the Hipkiss world at a personal price too.
As ever, we're also always interested in commissions to depict family trees, combining a very original genealogical heirloom with an art investment (see http://www.chrishipkiss.org/famtreesm.jpg - larger image on request).

PROJET Hipkiss 2013 – DEVENIR UN/E MECENE & JOIGNEZ NOTRE TABLEAU D'HONNEUR !

United Dead Artists imprint, we are pleased to announce the availability of the first ever publication dedicated to the work of Hipkiss. Rendered in black and white, from large format colour transparencies, image quality is superb, and the size of this soft-cover edition allows for a much better idea of the works as they are 'in the flesh' than is ever possible on screen. A poetic piece by New York art writer, Randall Morris, graces the back of a giant poster of the 2009 drawing,
Dreizehn Hassminen. With an initial print run of 1000, this edition is likely to sell out quickly.
